Android, what else?
IDEAN’s Hyperion touch UI
using Kaleido
The arrival of Android™ represents a fundamental change in the mobile industry as the first feature-rich open source application framework. Like any revolutionary change, its full effects are not yet being felt. Only a few handsets are available, offering rather dull user interfaces. But many OEMs are working on new handsets, so expect a flurry of models in the months to come. However, for all actors embracing the Android™ platform, the ability to individualize through innovative and distinctive user experiences remains challenging: tools provided by Android™ still require laborious and costly efforts to create a sophisticated and exciting user experience.

With Kaleido for Android™, such user experience is available now. Look at what our KIDE development environment can do. Check out the Hyperion user interface concept that we developed with design company IDEAN. The first wave of Android devices marks the stage of software commoditization. The next stage will all be about differentiation.

KIDE development environment opens floodgates to new applications on Android
Now available for the Android mobile platform, the Kaleido Integrated Development Environment (KIDE) solution offers handset manufacturers and applications vendors the ability to take application development beyond the basic Android architecture, while reducing time to market.

Thanks to Digital Airways’ "Smart bridging" technology, KIDE manages applications in native code, side-stepping the speed and memory performance limitations of Java. New and existing legacy applications can be ported easily, allowing handset manufacturers endless possibilities of differentiation on the Android platform with a higher ROI.
