SOLUTIONS Handling multi-lingual, non roman languages Kaleido handles non latin languages, including complex scripts and bidirectional languages such as Chinese, Thai and Arabic. This means that kaleido can display text using these fonts, or a combination of these fonts within one text, but also manage stroke recognition's architecture. Digital Airways and nCore, a specialist in the development of embedded localization software, have integrated nCore's nScript solution to Kaleido, allowing for user interfaces and text editors to be localized for all major languages. The picture on the right shows a text editor combining roman and arabic languages. The editor handles the leyboard as well as stroke recognition. When the user draws a letter, it is recognized and a few choices are proposed. |
